Taiwan Starts Easing Entry Restrictions for Business Travel
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the border restrictions will be loosened, estimated to start from July. The Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers' Association (THTMA) will introduce the first Taiwan International Tools & Hardware Expo (TiTE) in October. With a full range of resources gathered from the Bureau of Foreign Trade, TiTE has provided an integrated service for visiting the exhibition, factory visits and procurement.
According to Taoyuan International Airport Corp., statistics from this January to April showed that the passenger traffic grew 26.88% year-on-year to 403,037. The YoY had gone up for three consecutive months since February 2022. Given that the pandemic situation becomes more stabilized in Taiwan, the government is taking steps to ease border controls for business travelers.
2022 TiTE is the first international expo hosted by THTMA. As Taiwan’s largest professional expo related to hand tools and hardware in recent years, TiTE will take place from October 12-14, 2022 at the Taichung International Exhibition Center. It was advised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs and co-organized by the Strengthening Investment Services Project Office, the Taiwan Industrial Fasteners Institute, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association and the Taiwan Plastics Industry Association.
TiTE also works together with over 20 significant industrial associations to show the robust supply chain strength of Taiwan's hand tool industry. Exhibition partners include the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, the National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises R.O.C., the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei, the Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association, the Taiwan Transportation Vehicle Manufacturers Association, the Changhua County industrial Association, the Taipei Hardware Dealers Association, etc.
TiTE will take place this October. David Huang, Chairman of Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers' Association, invited the international buyers to the event.
“Taiwan is the third largest exporter of hand tools in the world. The competitive bargaining power of suppliers in Taiwan fuels us today. We will work diligently to present a productive platform for all and make Taiwan’s hand tool industry shine on the global stage,” said David Huang, Chairman of Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers' Association.
He also thinks that Taiwan's hand tool industry has built up an enviable reputation as a reliable partner around the world in the time of COVID-19. The iconic suppliers throughout the tools and hardware industry are well poised to make their moves and reap new business opportunities in the post-pandemic period.
